Managing time is a difficult skill for anyone to master, from high schoolers to people well into their career, but it is one of the most important skills. Good time management allows people to maintain a balance in their life, and allows one to not rely on procrastination to get through the day.
Here are some tips for time management:
When studying, keep your phone away. Out of sight, out of mind
Create a schedule→ it helps to use Google Calendar
Checklists! Checking stuff off makes you feel productive
Travel efficiently→ leave enough time to get to your classes and take expedient routes
Sleep 8 hours a night→ I usually leave an hour in the morning before I have to go to class, and plan my sleep accordingly
Utilize breaks between classes
Work during lunch breaks→ this may make you sad, but sometimes it has to be done
It is vital to maintain a good, strict schedule. Make sure you stick to your schedule if you choose to make one though, because otherwise it leads to procrastination which leads to sleep deprivation which leads to depression and other bad things. It is important to maintain your mental health as well as your physical health in order to succeed.
